A list of things some I want to do:

  • Learn to play bass.

  • Learn to ride a motorcycle.

  • Build a trebuchet.

  • Learn to pilot an airplane.

  • Write a song.

  • Write another novel.

  • Earn a doctorate.

  • Get published.

Two of Jesse's old friends visited today and we went to dinner at a Sushi place. Somehow the conversation got to what you call people from certain states. (Washingtonian, Californian, etc.) Eventually, we started coming up with off the wall ideas. Some of what we came up with:

Utah - Utan or Ute
North/South Dakota - Flatlander
Wyoming - Cowboy
Maine - Maniac
Kentucky - Chicken
Washington D.C. - Politician
New Hampshire - Libertarian
Vermont - Faux Libertarian
Idaho - Potato

And I missed the Pennsylvania - Pencil one. Darn...

Since I finished watching Seasons 1 and 2 of House last weekend, I've gone back to working on Guitar Hero II. Tonight, I finally finished the game on medium. I'm not really sure how I'd fare on hard, since I'm schizo on medium. Some songs are nigh impossible for me, starting as early as Surrender (still can't get past 3 stars), on the other hand I managed to do some of the songs in the final set, such as Beast and Harlot, Miserlou, and Free Bird, at 4 stars, even though I'd never played them before. Oddly, I found the second-to-final set more difficult than the final set, probably because I don't really care for any of the songs. Affinity and familiarity help a lot with me. Conversely, some songs just don't interest me. Institutionalized left me completely bewildered. I couldn't connect what I was hearing to what I was seeing or doing at all.

My fingers are dead, now.

I also tried out Amplitude for the first time. Quite a different game, more in tune with typical rhythm game, but still fun. I haven't quite got the hang of it, though.

And I'm starting to nod off. I had wanted to write a short story in here, but I can't think of something that'd work for a vignette.

Someone give me a story topic. ^_^
